Carnforth-based British India Line 35018 will carry The Dalesman this Tuesday, June 7, 2022 and pass through Ribblehead and Oxenholme Lake District on its journey.
The railtour will depart Chester with a diesel locomotive at 07.32am and pass through Frodsham (07.46am), Warrington Bank Quay (08.03am), Wigan North Western (08.28am), Leyland (08.48am), Preston (09.05am), Blackburn (09.39am) and Hellifield at 10:28.
35018 British India Line picks up here and departs at 11:00. From there the train will pass through Ribblehead (11.24am), Garsdale (11.38am), Appleby (12.00pm) and Carlisle at 12.52pm.
After a stop at Carlisle, the train will return to Chester via the WCML. It will pass through Penrith North Lakes (3:32 p.m.), Oxenholme Lake District (4:32 p.m.), Carnforth South Junction (4:49 p.m. – diesel transported from here), Preston (6.14pm), Leyland (6.37pm), Wigan North Western (6.51pm), Warrington Bank Quay (7.09pm), Frodsham (7.23pm) and Chester at 7.47pm.
