The 35018 British India Line steam locomotive will return to the main line and will be in Blackburn and Chester on Saturday 25 September 2021.
The locomotive tows the Lunes Rivers Trust, originally from Carnforth.
Note: We believe 35018 British India Line is doing this tour, but this is subject to change.
Departing Carnforth at 7:41 am, the locomotive will pass through Wennington (8:00 am), Bentham (8:17 am), Clapham (8:31 am), Giggleswick (8:40 am), Hellifield (8:54 am), Clitheroe (10:07 am), Whalley (10:12 am), Blackburn (10:31), Cherry Tree (10:35), Wigan North Western (11:36), Warrington Bank Quay (11:50), Runcorn East (12:06), Helsby (12:19) and Chester at 12:34.
The return trip will depart Chester at 3:35 p.m., then pass through Helsby (3:48 p.m.), Runcorn East (3:58 p.m.), Warrington Bank Quay (4:09 p.m.), Wigan North Western (4:33 p.m.), Cherry Tree (5:23 p.m.), Blackburn (5:23 p.m.), Blackburn (5 p.m.) 57), Clitheroe (18:21), Hellifield (18:51), Bentham (19:49), Wennington (19:59) and Carnforth at 20:19.
