The work includes the installation of CCTV and Scada systems.
CASABLANCA’s public transport operator Casa Transport awarded Colas Rail a €15 million contract to install low-voltage systems on the T3 and T4 light metro lines.
The works will include the installation of CCTV, sound systems, Scada and telecommunications, and are expected to last 30 months.
Multiplying the public transport offer in Morocco’s largest city, which has four million inhabitants, the T3 line will serve 20 stations on its 14 km double-track route. The T4 line will be 12.5 km long and will serve 19 stations.
“This new contract shows that there is a real bond of trust between Moroccan local authorities and Colas Rail,” says Hervé Le Joliff, Chairman of Colas Rail. “As with previous Casablanca tramway projects, our teams are fully mobilized to deliver an integrated, reliable and safe system.
In 2021, Colas Rail won a €24 million contract to undertake the design, construction and commissioning of 25 km of overhead electrification, as well as the supply of power supply systems and the installation of 21 sub -stations.
The company also won a €10 million contract to lay 14 km of track and install 11 switches and level crossings on the third section of lines T3 and T4 in the city centre.
