Crich Tramway Village: Win family tickets to the Derbyshire attraction for a trip back in time

The village – home to the National Tramway Museum – sees vintage trams, some originally from Sheffield, run along a vintage street, climbing a mile and a half of track which offers sweeping views of the surrounding countryside of the Derbyshire.

You can discover the Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail, before visiting the exhibitions and the Workshop Viewing Gallery, where you can observe the restorations of vintage trams.

The large exhibition hall features a century of streetcars, electric-age drawn horses, and an exhibit exploring the life and work of Michael Holroyd Smith.

A smaller exhibition, The Mobile Post Box – Mail by Tram, located behind the facade of the Derby Assembly Rooms, explores how, in the early 20th century, trams became mobile postboxes, as well as some of the challenges that had to be overcome to provide the service. .

New this season is the refurbished Cabmen’s Shelter in Wakebridge, which was originally used for cab drivers in Bradford from 1877 for almost 100 years.
