Step into the fall season with a variety of fun train adventures at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie.
First, step back in time by taking the rails aboard the museum steam train powered by the steam locomotive Northern Pacific 924 on the weekend of October 2-3 and November 6-7.
Enjoy a steam train ride through the scenic Upper Snoqualmie Valley! Begin your 2-hour round trip at the North Bend Depot or Snoqualmie Historic Depot, where you’ll board historic passenger cars to begin your journey.
All tours travel west to the top of Snoqualmie Falls, stopping at the ridge for views of the lower river valley, and include a 30-minute stopover to visit the Train Shed exhibit hall.
Second, enjoy the 2021 Halloween season with a Halloween train excursion on the weekends of October 16-17, 23-24 and 30-31. Your spellbinding good time includes a decorated train ride as you sit back to enjoy the changing colors of fall on a fall train ride through the scenic Upper Snoqualmie Valley!
Start your 2-hour round-trip experience at the Snoqualmie Historic Depot or North Bend Depot where you board the museum’s historic coaches and travel to enjoy the stunning views from the top of Snoqualmie Falls to the valley of the river below.
Halloween train tours include a stop at the Train Shed exhibit hall with Halloween tales for the whole family. Costumes are encouraged, and all children arriving in costume will receive a small prize!
For those who want fall in love with trains of all sizes, but don’t have time to take the train, the Train Shed exhibit hall, located on the museum’s railroad history campus, is also open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Finally, get ready for the Christmas season with two different options this holiday season with either the Christmas Express and Santa Claus Limited train excursions. Join Santa Claus and his elves on November 27-28, December 4-5, 11-12, 18-19 2021 for the Christmas Express!
Your 25-minute vacation excursion begins at the historic Snoqualmie depot. Hop aboard seasonally decorated antique coaches and travel west to Snoqualmie Falls, stopping briefly at the ridge for views of the river valley before returning to Snoqualmie. Each child receives a small gift from Santa Claus.
Or join Santa Claus and his elves on December 11-12, 18-19, 2021 for Santa Claus Limited. Your 2-hour vacation excursion begins at the North Bend depot. Embark at North Bend and make your way to the Railway History Campus, where Santa Claus greets each child with a small gift. Enter the Seasonally Decorated Train Shed Showroom.
