Heathrow Express hit by delays as railway line needs urgent repairs


Services on a major transport link between Heathrow Airport and London are disrupted today (Monday April 4). Repairs are underway on the railway line between London Paddington and Heathrow.

As a result, a reduced service is running on the Heathrow Express service. National Rail advises that services may be canceled or revised.

Problems on the rail network were first reported around 6:10 a.m. Network Rail currently estimate travel issues will be resolved by around 8am, although this may change.

A National Rail spokesperson said: “Repairs to the track between Southall and Heathrow Terminal 4 mean that a reduced service runs between these stations. As a result, trains may be canceled or revised. This is scheduled until 8 a.m..”
