This iconic train runs year-round, but we love the unique adventures offered during the summer season. Here’s why you can’t go wrong taking a ride on the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Ohio. All aboard!

The marker above reads “The arrival of the Columbus and Hocking Valley Railroad in 1869 led to the decline of the Hocking Canal and secured Nelsonville’s prominence as a major shipping point for coal and industrial products. Part of the Logan to Nelsonville Railroad was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, along with steam locomotive #33 and caboose #90704.”
