Steam locomotive 7029 will visit Birmingham and Swindon this Saturday



GWR ‘Castle’ No. 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ will be on the main line this Saturday, September 25, as it carries a Vintage Trains rail tour.

The castle will carry a railtour from Tyseley to Swindon.

The train will leave Tyseley Steam Trust at 8:21 am and then cross Birmingham Moor Street (8:33 am), Birmingham Snow Hill (8:37 am), Smethwick Galton Bridge (8:51 am), Stourbridge Junction (9:07 am), Kidderminster (9:20 am), Droitwich Spa (9:35 am), Worcester Shrub Hill (9:43 a.m.), Cheltenham Spa (10:29 a.m.), Kemble (11:02 a.m.) and Swindon at 11:26 a.m.

The return journey will see 7029 Clun Castle leave Swindon at 3:45 p.m., with the locomotive passing through Uffington (3:57 p.m.), Oxford (4:29 p.m.), Heyford (5:02 p.m.), Banbury (5:18 p.m.), Leamington Spa (6:01 p.m.), Dorridge (6:21 p.m.), Tyseley (6:29 p.m.), Birmingham Moor Street (6:41 p.m.), Birmingham Snow Hill (6:46 p.m.), Birmingham Moor Street (7:04 p.m.) and Tyseley Steam Confidence at 7:17 p.m.
