The Flying Scotsman steam locomotive will travel to Salisbury on Tuesday


60103 Flying Scotsman is back on the main line and heading to Salisbury on a special train tour.

Departing from London Victoria at 8:46 a.m., the locomotive will pass through Clapham Junction (9:01 a.m.), Brentford (9:15 a.m.), Staines (9:33 a.m.), Woking (9:59 a.m.), Winchfield (10:19 a.m.), Basingstoke (10:37 a.m.), Andover (11:07 a.m.) and Salisbury at 11:28 a.m. .

From Salisbury, the locomotive will head for maintenance before performing a mini-tour to Eastleigh.

Departing Salisbury at 3:03 p.m., the locomotive will pass through Dean (3:17 p.m.), Romsey (3:26 p.m.), Redbridge (3:34 p.m.), Southampton Central (3:39 p.m.), St Denys (3:45 p.m.), Southampton Airport Parkway (3:48 p.m.) and Eastleigh at 3:53 p.m.

Returning to Salisbury, Flying Scotsman will depart Eastleigh at 4:04 p.m. and pass through Romsey (4:40 p.m.), Dean (4:53 p.m.) and Salisbury at 5:08 p.m.

The return trip will see the locomotive depart Salisbury at 6:52 p.m. and pass through Basingstoke (7:38 p.m.), Brookwood (8:00 p.m.), Staines (8:47 p.m.), Brentford (9:01 p.m.), Clapham Junction (9:18 p.m.) and London Victoria at 9:37 p.m.
