WIN: A set of Hornby trains and tickets to the Falkirk Model Train Exhibition thanks to Rainbow Railways

Members of Falkirk Model Railway hold their annual Model Railway Exhibition, supported by Rainbow Railways of Linlithgow on Saturday and Sunday 19th and 20th November. This year the show is taking place at a new venue at Grangemouth Athletics Stadium on Kersiebank Avenue.

With a total of 58 exhibit booths, including 28 model train layouts of all sizes, there will be something for everyone to see. And thanks to the new, larger venue, everything will be under one roof this year as clubs and individuals across the UK display their layouts.

A main feature will be Tamshooglie’s Falkirk Model Railway Club layout – a fun layout to entertain visitors to the exhibition, from youngsters to adults. It is designed for Thomas the Tank and Underground Ernie to race on. A host of other features are included in the layout with a model of Hogsworth Castle and a new option to change trains at Hogsworth Station.

The grand prize offered by Rainbow Railways plus tickets to the event later this month

In recent years, the hobby has enjoyed much wider appeal and a great way to relax by both building and operating a model train layout.

The Rainbow Railways show supporter has also moved to the store premises in 2021 in an area of the Playbugs softplay in Linlithgow. Colin Rae, one of the founding partners, said: “It’s great to finally be able to display our models not only at an exhibition, but also in our shop. We are now one of the few model railroad shops in central Scotland and attract customers from the surrounding areas who are delighted to be able to benefit from advice and see the huge range of products available from all the major manufacturers.

Rainbow Railways has teamed up with the Falkirk Herald to offer a great price. There is a Hornby Harry Potter train worth £245 and three pairs of tickets available.
